Ayu Health aims to become largest hospital chain in Rajasthan by 2022-end
Ayu Health Hospitals, a healthcare start-up with a network of over 70 hospitals across India, announced its business expansion plan for Rajasthan by entering Alwar, Behror and Ajmer markets and by adding 15 more hospitals to its portfolio by end of this year. As a part of its expansion, the company will soon start working with few of the top hospitals like, Park Hospital, Abhishek Hospital and Shikhawati Hospital in Jaipur to take quality healthcare to the masses through standardisation of healthcare services provided by neighbourhood hospitals. The company currently has more than 1,500 beds across 11 hospitals such as NIMS Hospital, Marudhar Hospital, Bhandari Hospital and Evaa Hospital in the city. This expansion announcement came right after raising series B funding of $27 Mn in a round led by Fundamentum Partnership, earlier this month.
Commenting on the expansion plan, Yashu Kapoor, Head of Growth, Ayu Health Hospitals, said, “We are using a good portion from the series B fund raised earlier this month, for this expansion. With our asset light business approach, we are intending to address the gaps in clinical care, in-hospital experience, and pricing for patients while creating a hospital chain that is trusted by people in the region. With this expansion we are confident that we would be able to provide high quality healthcare in Rajasthan.”
Earlier this year, the company had acquired Jaipur based SwasthyaSewak, to bring multi-disciplinary healthcare services to citizens with its unique and trust building feature of pricing transparency. SwasthyaSewak is a network of hospitals in Jaipur that was formed in 2017 by Yashu Kapoor.
Commenting on Ayu Health’s plan to enter new markets in Rajasthan, Karan Gupta, Co-founder and COO at Ayu Health Hospitals said, “Given the huge potential and the need for quality healthcare delivery in this region, our expansion will allow hospitals to serve patients at lower costs, provide better experience, and maintain high medical quality standards.”
He adds, “Costs associated with the surgery, implant costs, price of stents and even hospital admission charges are shared with utmost transparency and even explained to the patients upfront by the medical counsellors and doctors. Additionally patients and doctors are given direct access to digitised health records and test results, so that they know and understand the process fully. We also utilize technology to facilitate insurance and other financial support to the patients.”
Founded in 2019 by Himesh Joshi, Arjit Gupta and Karan Gupta, the company currently works with more than 70 hospitals and have over 4,000 beds across Bengaluru, Chandigarh, NCR and Jaipur, serving over 3,500 patients every day.
