Best of Renewable Energy India Expo 2023 | mojo4industry

Renewable Energy India Expo, popularly known as REI, Asia’s largest expo in the renewable energy space held between 4th and 6th October at Greater Noida, came to a close, with exhibitors from across the globe exhibited their most exciting and innovative products. REI demonstrated how the renewable sector is progressing, and that industry has the answers to the dual challenge of energy security and climate protection.

mojo4industry presents you this exclusive post event report featuring some of the giant players like: Adani Solar, Testo India, Alishan Green Energy, Rajoo Engineers, PIXON, Jakson Group, ECE India Energies, Fronius India, Nextracker India

Sponsors for this programme are: Testo India, Alishan Green Energy, Rajoo Engineers, and Pixon

Rahul Bhutiani, Chief Marketing Officer, Adani Solar: We are presenting the entire integrated supply chain, including our existing and future ventures, from MG Silica Mining to module manufacturing. Our booth offers a comprehensive display of this progression, highlighting the intriguing transformation of MG Silica from its natural state into solar modules that harness sunlight to generate electricity. This showcase is a valuable educational tool for the industry and all stakeholders. In addition, we are proud to announce the launch of our cutting-edge product, the Topcon modules, which boast high efficiency and the latest technology. We take pride in being the sole manufacturer and distributor of Topcon modules in India, with plans to commence shipments in November.

Harish Sharma, Regional Manager North and East Region – Instrumentation Business, Testo India: Testo India is a subsidiary of the German company Testo, specializing in the production of testing and measuring instruments. We manufacture our products in Germany, ensuring high-quality standards. Recently, we participated in REI, where we received promising inquiries and engaged with a substantial number of industry professionals. At our booth, we showcased solutions for the solar industry, including a thermal imaging camera for detecting hot spots and cracks on modules and electrical instruments like multimeters and clamp meters. Our product range also encompasses multifunctional instruments for measuring temperature, humidity, and airflow, along with air leakage checking systems for detecting leaks.

Dr. Khushbu Patel, AGM-Business Development, Alishan Green Energy: We took part in REI 2023 with great enthusiasm and were gratified by the positive response we received. At Alishan Green Energy, we proudly presented our complete range of quoted backsheets designed for solar modules. We are content with achieving our target of showcasing the extensive research and analysis conducted in our 24/7 labs and R&D department, which resulted in the development of a backsheet with superior hydrophobic properties.

Khushboo Chandrakant Doshi, MD, Rajoo Engineers: Our primary focus is demonstrating the benefits of our machinery, which aids in the production of EVA and POE sheets used as encapsulants for solar panels. These sheets are crucial components of solar panel construction. Our technical team is on-site to showcase the intricate workings of our machinery and emphasize its relevance to the current industry standards. Recognizing the gradual deterioration of solar efficiency, we introduced a specialized cleaning liquid named Wattup. This liquid, when applied to solar panels, effectively restores their cleanliness and performance, thereby enhancing power efficiency. Unlike other solutions that fail to address stubborn cement stains, Wattup stands out as a reliable and effective option, substantiated by our firsthand observations and testing.

Sumit Mehta, Director, PIXON: Founded in May 2021, we are a leading solar module manufacturer with a current manufacturing capacity of 1 GW. Our facilities include a 1 GW Encapsulant Line capable of producing POE and EVA materials. Our module offerings encompass a diverse range of products, including P-type and N-type modules. Our upcoming product launch in February will feature N-type modules. Leveraging European technology, we maintain a strong production line. This encapsulates the essence of PIXON, an exceptionally successful endeavor.

Gagan Chanana, CEO & Jt. MD – DEB, Jakson Group:  Our organization is uniquely positioned, offering both solar panels and energy storage solutions. Our in-house energy storage product distinguishes us from other companies in the industry. We have observed a significant surge in interest and demand for our energy storage solution since this morning. Given the projected increase in electricity rates during peak hours, driven by government policies, energy storage is set to play a crucial role. Customers can store energy during off-peak hours and utilize it during times of high demand, aligning with their specific needs.

Aniket Tondare, Director – Distribution Sales, ECE India Energies: We are introducing a new ecosystem for our channel partners and sales, including a newly developed app. This app aims to provide a seamless experience, offering a single window for various operations. The app is currently being tested and expected to go live within two months. It will enable our partners and distributors to place orders, and access invoices, GCR declarations, and warranty certificates with a simple click, streamlining their operations.

Sridhar Bhamidipati, Technical Sales Advisor – Business Unit Solar Energy, Fronius India: Fronius, an Austrian company, designs and manufactures all its products in Austria, and Europe. Our hybrid innovators, GEN 24 Plus, are available in the power class range of 3 to 10 KW. Additionally, we offer on-grid inverters ranging from 3 to 100 KW, along with AC charging solutions for four-wheeler electric vehicles. Our inverters, starting from 3 to 12.5 KW, come with a 10-year warranty. The GEN 24 Plus hybrid inverter boasts various features, functioning both as an on-grid inverter without batteries and as a hybrid system with batteries. Moreover, the PV point feature allows it to support loads of up to 3 KQw capacities directly from solar energy even during power outages. With our hybrid inverters and GEN 24 Plus models, customers can continuously harness the solar energy available on their rooftops, ensuring a constant and reliable energy supply.

Jitendra Morankar, VP- Global Design Applications, Nextracker India: The ongoing show has been quite successful. Notably, Nextracker, recognized globally for its tracking solutions, has an expansive booth at the event. In India, there is a growing interest in tracker products. These trackers are structural frames that facilitate the movement of solar panels throughout the day, maximizing energy output by tracking the sun’s position. Our tracker stands out due to its simplified assembly, making it easy to install on-site. Additionally, our innovative algorithm, known as True Capture, prevents shading between modules, enhancing energy generation. Considering India’s climate with ample diffused light, our tracker is equipped with an algorithm that adjusts its orientation to capture maximum energy during such conditions. With a record of closing 4.5 GW projects in India over the past year, we are delighted to be a part of this show, focusing on the solar industry in India.
