Hartek Solar to build 2 MW floating solar plant; President lays foundation stone
Hartek Solar, the rooftop solar division of Hartek group, has bagged an order for a 2,000 KW floating solar plant from Chandigarh Renewal Energy and Science & Technology Promotion Society (CREST).
The Foundation stone for the project was laid down by the President of India Smt Droupadi Murmuru on 9th October in Chandigarh.
The 2 MW floating solar plant is claimed to be the largest floating solar power plant to set up in North India. The plant will be situated at Sector 39 Water Works, that supplies water to the entire Chandigarh city. This 2,000 KW project will generate 28,00,000 units of electricity per year and will contribute in saving 80,000 tonnes of CO2.
On this occasion, Director and CEO of Hartek Solar, Simarpreet Singh said, “It is a matter of honour and pride that the foundation stone has been laid by the President of India.
