Hyderabad-based Medha Servo Drives Pvt. Ltd., founded in 1984, is an established brand in the field of rail transportation. It delivers complete propulsion systems, rolling stock equipment and signaling systems for railways.

Medha played a critical role in successfully designing and developing Kavach – the automatic train protection (ATP) system for Indian Railways.

Now, Medha has diversified its product portfolio to include solar inverters and electric vehicle propulsion systems and plans to venture in defense manufacturing.

On the sidelines of The Smarter E India (Intersolar India) expo, Sanjay Bhalekar, BD Advisor, Medha Servo Drives, in a freewheeling interview with mojo4industry talks about the company’s journey, their product portfolio, USPs, commitment to ‘Make in India’, future roadmap, expansion plans etc.

At Intersolar, we showcased our 3.5 MW Inverter that are used in very large projects as well as newly launched 250 kW grid tied string inverter.”

“In the EV segment, our two buses have already travelled 1 lakh kms and we are now working on a very big project – more than 300 buses are under manufacturing,” informs Mr. Bhalekar. He further reveals, “Medha will be the very big name in defense also very soon.”
