SMT Wins CONSIP 2-Year Tender to Supply Hydra TAVI Devices to All Hospitals
Sahajanand Medical Technologies Ltd. (SMT) has secured a significant achievement by winning the Italian national CONSIP tender, a 2-year contract to supply its Hydra Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) devices to all hospitals across Italy. This milestone is a crucial step in SMT’s ongoing efforts to improve patient care through advanced medical technologies.
The Hydra TAVI, known for its innovative design, superior radial strength, and supra-annular valve positioning, is now available for purchase by all National Health Service (NHS) hospitals in Italy. This classification ensures that healthcare providers across the country can access cutting-edge solutions for treating aortic stenosis, thereby enhancing patient outcomes and improving hospital efficiency.
Gaurav Goel, Global Head of the Structural Heart Division at SMT, expressed his satisfaction with this achievement, stating, “We are honored to be recognized in the CONSIP tender, which highlights the quality and effectiveness of our Hydra TAVI technology. This partnership with Italian healthcare providers will help us deliver life-saving solutions and raise the standard of care for patients with aortic stenosis.”
Gennaro Broya de Lucia, SMT’s Distributor Manager for Europe, also emphasized the significance of this classification, attributing the success to the dedication of SMT’s team and the crucial role played by Eukon, their Italian importer. He noted that this collaboration will meet the procurement needs of the NHS, ensuring that Italian hospitals are equipped with the latest medical technology.
The NHS’s value-based procurement strategy, which prioritizes cost-efficiency and high-quality patient care, aligns with SMT’s commitment to providing advanced medical solutions at competitive prices. Winning this tender not only strengthens SMT’s position in the medical technology sector but also underscores the importance of equipping healthcare professionals with the best tools to tackle critical health challenges.
